Suitcases are Packed!

Liz leaves tomorrow for a work-related conference… Which means that it’s just me, Tom, and my friend Sully ruling the house for the weekend (Sully’s visiting while my grandparents on Tom’s side are out of town for a few days). I’m guessing that we’ll have a great weekend! Lots of naps, walks, maybe some watching Tom while he does yard work… And possibly a little get together of the three best friends that anybody could have!

Anyways, as Liz was packing her suitcases earlier today, I started thinking about the charm of old suitcases. If you ask me, the suitcases below are packed — full of AWESOMENESS! Who would have thought to turn a suitcase into a side table?! Of course, since I love all types of vintage suitcases, it’s the table legs in the pictures below that stand out :)

Between the skinny green legs, the more rustic crossed wooden legs, and the simple metal legs, I’m not sure which ones I like better… Of course you don’t have to worry about the table legs at all when you’re using vintage Louis Vuitton suitcases! Holy moly, I want this table!

Want to make your own suitcase table? I came across a couple of additional inspiring tutorials — the first one is from Design Sponge and provides really detailed instructions…

And the second is from Stars for Streetlights — not quite as detailed, but I think you can get the general gist of what was done :)
